The staff and support is great, flexibility of schedule is good, supervision is helpful, and an overall great experience for counselor interns. There is a small stipend for interns obtaining their graduate degree, which is better than an unpaid internship. I have learned a lot since interning at DCC and have worked with a breadth of different clients and interventions. Although I did not want to work with kids, it is mandatory to work at a school for trainees, but I still learned a lot nonetheless.

The director was affirming and directive, knowledgeable and educational. The other staff therapists there were very congenial and helpful. There were various counseling sites and schools and apartment communities available to create groups or individual counseling opportunities.
