THERAPY

INDIVIDUAL

Individual therapy (sometimes called psychotherapy) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

PLAY THERAPY

Play therapy is a method of meeting and responding to the mental health needs of children which is as an effective and suitable intervention for working with children from a  developmental model.

FAMILY/

COUPLES

Family and/or Couples therapy is a form of psychotherapy that works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development.

GROUP

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which a group of clients meet to describe and discuss their problems together under the supervision of a therapist. Group is often a preferred modality with teens; allowing them a safe and structured venue to explore themselves with their peers.

Girls Group is a process focused group, meaning, therapeutic benefit is not specifically topic driven but rather on the relationships and interactions between the group participants. This also allows the group members to discuss whatever is relevant to them and gain insights through the relationships they develop in therapy. This is different than other social relationships because group therapy provides structure and containment which can facilitate change.
